Vosges Grand Trail with the GR

From castle to castle (Wittschloessel, old Windstein, new Windstein), the way runs over the GR 53 to the Schwarzbach valley. This one preserved a particular type of works of the Maginot Line.
The long rise up to the Grand Wintersberg tower, highest point of the Northern Vosges, is rewarded by a wonderful panoramabefore your downhill to Niederbronn-les-Bains.
By the botanical path, we reach quickly the ruins of the Wasenbourg castle which dominate Niederbronn-les-Bains. Further, with a cable, draws up the observation tower of Wasenkoepfel from which we slightly see the castle of Lichtenberg than we will reach later. Previously we pass by the ruins of the castle Grand Arnsbourg and cross the large main forest which separates the Zinsel valley from the North of the Rothbach valley.
