The fife festival, or "Pfifferdaj" in Alsatian, is a centuries-old popular festival whose origins date back to the 17th century. Every two years, it brings together many artists, companies of musicians and artisans for three days at the beginning of August to celebrate music and acrobats. These days of celebration, totally free, give way to this tradition and more: the public, young and old, will experience entertainment in the style of European Baroque festivals to recall the Age of Enlightenment, while endeavoring to defend concerns through the poetry of the new circus and street arts. Medieval market, artisans, discovery workshops and activities for children; juggling, calligraphy, magic tricks, pony rides, inflatable structures, creative workshops, handling weapons, street theatre, world music and brass bands are also on the program.
