The Michelbach nature reserve

Take the 4-km walking trail between the forest and the edge of the lake as you discover numerous species of birds. Stop at the observatories and take the time for a break on one of the benches along the trail to admire the splendid views.

Built between 1979 and 1982, this artifical lake is a safe space and a nature reserve for many birds species such as the cormorant, the crow or the osprey. On the horizon, the Rossberg, Thannerhubel, Markstein and Grand Ballon summits stand out. A 4km long walking path (app. 1h30) will lead you to the discovery of the fauna and flora using informative shields.
