Exhibition : Rolf Ball

"After studying Fine Arts at the Université des Sciences Humaines in Strasbourg, Rolf Ball undertook studies in social and cultural anthropology in order to better understand and integrate the human dimension into his art.

During his 2nd cycle of university studies, he wrote a dissertation on the relationship between Cubism and African masks.

Always on the lookout for something 'more' to enrich European art as it is known, his investigations astonish the classics but delight those who are more modern and who integrate humanitarian values on a global scale.

In his research on icons, while retaining the basic principle of hieratic maternity, he is enriched by multi-dimensional contributions of maternity concepts from other cultures.

Rolf Ball develops an art rich in cultural anthropological values and his evolution in the artistic field, given his spirit of research, makes his art a field full of promise for the future."
