Hops Hall

Improving the commercialisation of agricultural produce was a major objective for the local authority in the 19th century. The Hops Hall was built in 1867 by the architect Guntz, and enlarged in 1881, enabling Haguenau to become a leading town on the international hops market. It has a metal structure covered by masonry and an openwork glass front.
