Around the Glaserberg

This tour takes you around the Glaserberg, one of the two ranges of the Alsatian Jura. At the bottom of the steepest slope, the Lucelle marks the border with Switzerland. It flows through the site of the former abbey, which is revived to some extent by its Baroque furnishings, scattered throughout the surrounding churches since the French Revolution. On the other side of the river, the rising Ill fed an impressive number of mills, reminders of a rural world that has disappeared forever.
