Rock climbing

Between Saverne and the Col des Pandours there are some ten rocks that have been equipped with pitons and other facilities making them suitable for any level of climbing skill: the rock at the Grotte du Brotsch, the Krappenfels, the Spille, the Geisfels, the Muhlberg, the Birckenfels and also the walls of the old Kronthal sandstone quarry between Wasselonne and Marlenheim. To engage in this discipline, you must have personal insurance cover and be supervised by a qualified rock climbing instructor. Tourist Offices can accept no responsibility in the event of an accident.
