Bickenberg

" The Bickenberg is one of the sub-Vosgian hills of the Rouffach region, along with the Bollenberg, the Strangenberg and the Zinnkoepflé. Its arid moors are home to a multitude of rare species, the oldest of which date back several millennia. "

The Bickenberg is like a plateau with sheer edges and cliffs. Vine is cultivated on one part of the Bickenberg. Another part is covered with a preserved flora and forests. Remarkable are also the “steinrudel”, accumulations of rocks, which come from the people who picked up the stones in the fields (like dry stone walls).
