VIOLIN : MIRA MARIE FORON PIANO : KAREN KURONUMA Aware of the difficulties faced by any young artist at the dawn of their career, difficulties that have been exacerbated by the Covid crisis, Gautier Capuçon had the idea, in 2022, of creating his own foundation to help young talents fulfil their dreams. Karen Kuronuma, piano, and Mira Marie Foron, violin, who benefit from this support, offer us a fine programme spanning the ages and styles: We'll travel from Beethoven's luminous Sonata for violin and piano No. 3 to the dazzling display of virtuosity in the Carmen Fantaisie that Waxmann composed for the film Humoresque, via the astonishing tribute to Lorca that is Poulenc's Sonata, packed with quotations (from Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninov and... himself! ). A very promising young generation to discover! PROGRAM L. van Beethoven, Sonata for violin and piano, in E flat major n°.3 op.12 F. Poulenc, Sonata for violin and piano F. Waxmann, Carmen Fantasy
