Tour des Mineurs 16th century


Located in Echery, this tower, built in the 2nd half of the 16th century, once housed dungeons and a court specifically for miners. Today, the tower is the headquarters of the Caisse des Mineurs, a relief fund created around 1560.

Built in the mid-16th century, this building served as a court and prison for miners, then successively became a parish school and a forestry house. Today, it is the headquarters of the Caisse des Mineurs, a mutual aid fund founded 450 years ago. You'll be greeted by members of the association, in full mining officer regalia. Exhibition of mining objects and photos.
