Solbach is a cute mountain village nestled at the foot of Mont St-Jean and perched on a foothill in the Champ du Feu range. Legend has it that it was entirely destroyed during the Thirty Years' War. Faced with the sad fate, the locals joined forces to rebuild it higher up the valley beneath Mont St-Jean and La Perheux. Fantastic 18th and 19th century monobloc farms throughout the village bear witness to extensive food-producing farming.
