This itinerary starts in Altkirch, capital of the Sundgau region. Located at the crossroads of Switzerland and Germany, this Alsatian region is famous for its beautiful half-timbered farmhouses, its many ponds, its varied landscapes, its authentic heritage and its culinary specialty: Carpe-Frite. The Ill Valley cycle route passes through several emblematic towns in southern Alsace. In particular, you'll discover Hirtzbach, also known as "la perle du fleurissement", famous for its "village fleuri" label, its park and the Château de Reinach. Between nature and heritage, you can discover the Oltingue farm museum and the Raedersdorf stork enclosure.
