Musée de la Porte de Thann

Photo OT - Tharcisse Meyer

This military history museum is located in a 13th century tower. The collections, displayed on three floors, illustrate three periods in the life of Alsace, marked by the Franco-Prussian War (1870), and the two World Wars (1914-1918 and 1939-1945). Mementoes, photos and uniforms bear witness to these violent times. The collections also include artifacts relative to mining archaeology, religious art and folk art in this lively city.
