This exhibition uses photography to tell the story of young girls from Alsace and Moselle who were forcibly conscripted into the "Service du Travail féminin" between 1941 and 1945. Taken away from their families, their destinies differed, but they all had to sacrifice part of their youth to an ideology that was not their own. Long forgotten, they have retained the feeling of a stolen youth, of an unremedied injustice. Throughout the exhibition, visitors will find enlarged versions of propaganda images that illustrate the life of the German Reich Labor Service, as well as enlarged versions of personal photographs. Designed and produced by the Mémorial Alsace-Moselle, Schirmeck.
