This castle, maintained by an association of enthusiasts, offers a magnificent panorama of the valleys of Munster and Kaysersberg. A nice idea for a hike...
This castle is located 940 m above sea level. It dominates both the valleys leading down to Munster and Kaysersberg. It was built in the late eleventh century by the Counts of Eguisheim on the site of a former post Roman watchtower. Today you can still see the twelfth century dungeon and the ramparts reworked during the sixteenth century.
