Saint-Georges church in Sélestat from the Middle Ages to the present day

Classic, radiant or flamboyant, Saint-Georges church is a building with many faces. Like the town of Sélestat, this building has stood the test of time, witnessing some of history's most significant and sometimes painful events.

This exhibition takes visitors back in time, through architectural plans, manuscripts from the parish library, paintings and sculptures. From its medieval origins right up to the present day, the exhibition offers a glimpse of the transformations and restorations undergone by one of the most emblematic buildings in this city of art and history.

The tour also provides an opportunity to discover what lies behind the scaffolding of the restoration works currently underway. It's a unique opportunity for visitors to hear from the professionals working on this great sandstone dame.
