The Alsatian theatre troupe from Scherwiller presents its new play in 3 acts and in Alsatian, ‘D'r Dame Schnieder’, a comedy by Alphonse Glock:
Henri Spatel, a tailor, dreams of becoming a famous designer like Karl Lagersfeld. His wife, Rosa, runs a hat shop and doesn't believe in her husband's talents. What's more, she has decided to become a vegetarian and wants to prevent Henri from eating any meat whatsoever. The cleaning lady becomes Henri's accomplice and helps him to get round his wife's prohibitions. Armand comes to Henri's house with his future wife Adrienne to order a wedding dress. That's when he meets Eliane, who is single. They fall in love at first sight, the planned wedding is cancelled and a new romance begins, while Léonie, Armand's ex-future mother-in-law, is not happy with the hat she bought especially for the wedding.
In the first half: ‘Les Philosophes’ report on more or less recent events and the Ste Cécile choir performs two popular songs.
