What’s a GREETER ?
A greeter is a host who accompanies town-visitors on a voluntary basis. The Greeters are inhabitants who would like to share, through a common stroll, one of their passions connected to Sélestat and area, their beloved town.
They highlight the wonderful and sometimes unsuspected patrimonial or natural wealth of the town, the numerous hidden corners, traditions and history unveiled by their childhood memories – all the things which turn each stroll into a unique moment.
They aren‘t guides, they are voluntaries who accompany the visitors during one or two hours, or more, to “create emotions and generate beautiful memories”. Each stroll is unique, authentic, free of charge and convivial. There are plenty of themes, as numerous as our Greeters: photography, architecture, cycling, gardening, gastronomy….
Come and share an exceptional moment with the local population.
This strolls are free, and are intended for individual guests, families, couples, friends… and the number of participants cannot exceed 6 persons and the group must include at least one adult (over 18 years of age).
In this way, Sélestat becomes, just after Mulhouse, the second town in Alsace to propose this offer!
