" Marked loop of a red ring, about 9 km long, allowing to discover a representative sample of the landscapes and habitats of the Ill*Wald, a regional nature reserve. "

Located in the heart of the Alsace plain, the Ill*Wald is an exceptional nature reserve, both in terms of its nature (wetland recognised at European level) and its functioning (spectacular annual floods).

The Ill*Wald is a real green lung for the city, home to remarkable fauna and flora, and conceals many treasures that are revealed to the walker along its paths.

At the bend in the path, you may have surprising and unexpected encounters. You may be lucky enough to spot a few individuals from the largest wild population of fallow deer in France.

Come and discover this nature reserve in the Ried de Sélestat! You will definitely be charmed!
