The Massif of Chalmont

It dominates the commune of La Vancelle and culminates at 704 m.

This site of legends (Charlemagne's treasure, Dame Blanche, Pont des Fées, etc.) is impressive because of the presence of enormous blocks of fractured sandstone. Crossed by the GR 532, it marks the beginning of a hiking circuit that leads to the Rocher du Coucou, the Rocher des Fées, the Rocher de la Salière and the Rocher du Cheval tombé.

At the top of the massif, a Belvedere rock invites you to take a break and admire the surprising view over the whole Liepvrette valley.
