To mark the 80th anniversary of the Liberation, a series of commemorative events will be held.
The day will begin at 6pm with an ecumenical commemorative ceremony at the church, in honour of the servicemen who left their mark on this period. At 7.30pm, a preview of the exhibitions will take place in the town hall, providing an opportunity to discover first-hand accounts and memories of that era. Finally, at 8pm, Mr Baumann will give a talk entitled ‘Plane crashes in Alsace during 40-45’, followed by the screening of a documentary. Bookings required.
On 15 March, from 3:30pm, you can watch re-enactments of historic battles in the rue du Tilleul, followed by a commemorative ceremony and plaque unveiling in front of the town hall.
