Wild fruit from hedgerows and borders

Only in French. Oaks, hawthorns, privet, beech, blackthorn and other dogwoods offer their fruit, in their millions, to birds and small mammals. We, too, use the fruit to make delicious jams, pies and all sorts of other tasty dishes. But how can we be sure that the fruit we harvest is actually edible? Which species should we be wary of? To answer these questions, nothing beats a stroll through the forest, along the edges and hedges.
