Rohan castle

Description

This "Wasserburg" (water castle) has been protecting the entrance to the Bruche Valley since the 14^th century.
In the episcopate of the four cardinals of Rohan, from 1704 to 1790, it became an episcopal residence.
Today, it has been turned into a cultural centre. The castle also houses a museum where you may see a weapon exhibit (with firearms and bladed weapons) as well as a stone collection.
The castle is not open to visitors (only the museum is accessible).
