" Have you always wanted to know what goes on behind the kilns or in the workshops of the Lalique Museum? The Lalique en Grand exhibition offers you the opportunity to discover what goes on inside the crystal factory, which is not usually visited, through Karine Faby's large-format photographs. "
For over 100 years, the Lalique Manufacture in Wingen-sur-Moder has been creating works of art with the help of exceptional know-how. In the secret workshops, whether at the kilns or at the grindstones, men and women work together to produce pieces that are sold all over the world. Regardless of their position, they are all important links in an invisible chain.
In the exhibition "Lalique en grand" (Lalique on a grand scale), the museum lifts the veil a little with large-format photographs (120x180 cm) by Karine Faby. They give a glimpse of the inside of the crystal factory, which cannot be visited: from the chemist's laboratory, which determines the exact composition of the crystal depending on the pieces to be made and the colors desired, to the logistics team that packs the pieces for shipment to all points of the compass.
Paid admission included in the price of the museum.
