" Fancy a walk in the forest? Discover Le Gros Chêne, a nature site with several trail heads for ideal strolls with friends or as a family. "
On the banks of the Eberbach river, we discover the site of the Gros Chêne. Its name is due to a tree from 5 to 6 centuries old struck by lightning on November 13, 1913. Today, part of the trunk is still covered with a sheet metal hat. Every year the patron saint's feast of St-Arbogast is celebrated in the small chapel built in 1955. Near the Gros Chêne site, you will find a picnic area, a playground and an inn. The site is also the starting point, or a stopover, for many marked footpaths, cycle and mountain bike trails, health trails, as well as a path accessible to people with reduced mobility.
