Biblical Garden

" Come and discover this garden, where the idea was born to bring to life episodes of the three monotheistic religions born around the Mediterranean: Judaism, Christianity and Islam, by means of a journey through the symbolism of plants. "

The "Garden Book" is an initiative of the association "biblical Garden of Wihr" in collaboration with the landscape architect Jean-François Trouvé.
The garden is located at the foot of the church of St. Blaise within the village square built by the municipality. The idea took root here and in other places, to relive the episodes of major religions of the Holy Book through a journey around the symbolism of plants.
4 rivers of paradise are now symbolised by Rhine pebbles, the Promised Land by a walnut tree, Egypt by a papyrus and cucumbers, the Red Sea by varied reeds ...
